About this itemThis is a scarce silver metal parachute (airborne) wing from West Germany. It was worn by German Bundeswehr Paratroopers for only one year from 1957-1958, the first airborne wing issued after WWII to the German Army in 1957.
The wings are makers marked (hallmarked) on the reverse with A logo for the famous German war time maker ASSMAN. The wings measure 60mm.
It is number 126 in the 1st Bragg & Turner book. Has a long pin and catch on the reverse for attaching to the uniform. Excellent condition. One of the rarest Airborne Wings.
