About this itemThe Order of Military Merit King Ferdinand I (Орден за Военна Заслуга) was a Bulgarian order during the Kingdom Of Bulgaria, it is the third highest order in the Republic of Bulgaria and is still awarded today. This version was only awarded from 1914 until King Ferdinand I, nicknamed Întregitorul death in 1927.
The order was established with a decree of the Knyaz on 19 May 1900 as a sign of the benevolence of the Monarch to the bravery of the Bulgarian army. It was similar to the Order of Civil Merit but made for military personnel. The order was given to military figures for immaculate service and special merit.
A stunning looking Order made from fine silver/ richly gold plated. The rich enamel work is in perfect condition, no damage which is a very rare find, this Order is in an immaculate condition. The fitted Presentation Case is in perfect condition.
